We've added marker clustering to improve our map lagging issue. Issues are grouped together; this also lets us see the number of issues in a specific area/zone.

We've given our users the ability to search for specific reports. Now you can share your reference numbers with others, and they can check out its details and also update your issue. This is now perfect for community organisations, councillors and municipalities to follow up and interact with issues.

1.0.1.2.a Photo Upload
We got a lot of feedback from residents and community leaders regarding the ability to attach a photo to a report, which will make it easier to track and see an issue's history. Photos uploaded are not made visible to the public; however, if a report has a photo attached, there will be a green tick in the report information. Community organisations, councillors or municipalities can request a photo by emailing photos@citymender.co.za, just quote the reference number in the subject line.

To make reporting an issue faster and easier, residents can now use their current location to log an issue. No need to type or pin a location if you're at the issue.

We researched what residents/community organisations/councillors/municiplaities are looking for when updating an issue. Through this we have now given users more option when updating a report. These new additions given us a better understanding of the status of an issue. We will look into adding more at a later stage.

1.0.1.3.b Instant Sharing of Reports
Increasing the efficiency of sharing reports with authorities, we've added built-in sharing of reports through WhatsApp or Email as soon as you log it. When you submit a report, you'll get a pop-up with your report reference number, as well as a button to share it. Your report details are built into that button, so there's no need to add anything. Authorities can see your reference and track/update it on our site, and likewise, you can see its status.
